David McSweeney leads a team within Fidelity’s Information Security Office focused on educating institutional and strategic clients about the evolving cybersecurity and fraud threat landscapes. His team highlights Fidelity’s commitment to cybersecurity, technology risk management, and data privacy. Prior to his current role, David directed incident response efforts in Fidelity’s Financial Intelligence Unit, handling cybersecurity and fraud cases involving client accounts.

Before joining Fidelity, he served as Vice President of Digital Forensics and Incident Response at Stroz Friedberg, advising clients on technical investigations and breach response. David is a 24-year veteran of the Massachusetts State Police, where he most recently served as Executive Officer of the Cyber Crime Unit. He holds the CISSP certification and is an active member of the Financial Services-Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC).
