As a Partner and Managing Director of Creative Planning, John leads the firm’s regional office
in Denver. He and his team practice in the areas of retirement planning, investment
management, tax and estate planning, business succession planning, as well as charitable
planning.

Prior to joining Creative Planning, John held the position of Vice President with a national
investment advisory firms in Chicago. While there he worked with high-net-worth clients on
the development of complex investment and financial planning strategies. John has spent his
entire career in the financial services industry and has developed an in -depth knowledge of
serving clients and providing comprehensive wealth management strategies for high networth households.

John is a former United States Marine and received his Bachelor of Science degree from the
University of Nebraska at Omaha. John also volunteers with Junior Achievement Rocky
Mountain (an organization dedicated to empowering youth through financial literacy,
entrepreneurship and work study programs), was named a Corporate Honoree by the
Huntington’s Disease Society of America, and supports both the Food Bank of the Rockies and
the Young Americans Center.

John lives in Lone Tree with his wife, Jamie, and their two dogs – Penny and Wally plus a large
black cat, Binx. He enjoys golfing, reading American history, snowboarding and spending time
with friends and family.
