Crystal serves Creative Planning Business Services as the Director of CPA Engagement, where she champions “all things people” (including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, employee experience, coaching, development and retirement client transitioning) for the Business Tax and Audit team. She enjoys partnering with CPA leaders to support team members in their professional growth and drive results without sacrificing personal harmony. Crystal also leads the Business Tax and Audit internship program, which has an ongoing one-year waitlist due to its reputation.

Crystal resides in Cedar Falls, Iowa, with her partner, Eric, and son, Hayes. She is very thankful for the numerous opportunities she has had, including serving on different boards (such as those of Community Main Street, the Visiting Nurses Association, the Iowa Women’s Foundation and the Society for Human Resource Managers) and being appointed by the Governor of Iowa to serve on the Iowa College Student Aid Commission. Crystal currently serves on the Cedar Falls Civil Service Commission.
